About IBEW Local 613
Discover The Union Difference
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 613 is headquartered in Atlanta, and has a massive jurisdiction spanning 58 counties in two states - Georgia and Alabama. Our Local union membership includes men and women who work in the construction and manufacturing industries.
Local 613 is the largest IBEW Local located in the IBEW Fifth District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Panama Canal, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands.
Our Local union received its charter on Oct. 25, 1919. In years following the Great Depression and World War II, the Local 613 jurisdiction grew throughout Northern Georgia. Over the course of the following decades, the amount of work within the jurisdiction varied, but the union continued to grow. Members of Local 613 have worked on many high-profile construction projects including most of the facilities built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, which were held in Atlanta.
Local 613 is the premier electrical workforce provider in north Georgia and parts of Alabama. Our members have worked on jobs such as Mercedes Benz Stadium, Bank of Georgia, Emory University Hospital, Ponce City Market, Plant Bowen and more.
After a century of service, our diverse membership has grown to include over 5,000 proud men and women!
The mission and goals of IBEW Local 613 are to improve the lives of our members and the communities we work in through representation, training and quality craftsmanship.
